The functionality of a suspended luminaire
It refers to the height, size, and type of lighting of the luminaire depending on the room where it is placed.
For example, small chandeliers less than 20 cm in diameter are ideally placed in a room. On the other hand, large luminaries of more than 50 cm in diameter will be rather arranged in a living room. For optimal comfort, the suspension must be more than 210 cm from the floor, 100 cm from a table or 160 cm from a bed. The type of lighting depends on what you want: general lighting (whole room), targeted (on a corner of the room in particular) or ambient (softer light point).



The design of the suspension
It takes into account the style, color, brand, and materials of the suspension that is desired for its interior.
Here nothing complicated, just make a choice according to his tastes and the already existing decoration of the room. As regards materials, there are mainly six for luminaires: metal, glass, wood, stone, fabric, glass or crystal.

The technical character
It is a question of the choice of the bulb, the color of light and the variation of the intensity.
We can distinguish between three major bulb families: incandescent bulbs that have a fairly high energy consumption, a limited life, but they are often cheaper. Low consumption bulbs, they consume little energy, have a long life and an average price. LED bulbs with a very long life and energy saving up to 80%. They are now widely favored.
