Switches in my house
Of all types, all styles the switch makes a big appearance in the design and decoration of our interiors. It can be modular, inverter or bipolar. It can be all white and very simple or design and tactile.
If you do not know where to turn in the middle of all these buttons, we will help you better understand and make the right choices in the purchase of your switches.
A switch yes, but what type?
You may not know it but today there are a lot of types of switches. Here is a presentation of the most common models.
The so-called unipolar switch: it has only one button it is used to control a single light point in a dry room. (Two electrical wires are connected to it).
The switch says bipolar: it works in the same way as a unipolar switch (a button, a point of light) his up that it is used in damp rooms like outside or a bathroom. (Four electrical wires are connected to prevent short circuit).
The so-called switch comes and goes: it consists of a single button and used to control a light point from two different places. (Three electrical wires are connected to it).
The double switch: it has two buttons and is used to control two different light points in one place. It’s simply two unipolar switches in a box.
Inverter switch: it is useful to control a light point from three places. It is useful in a room, for example, to turn on the light from the door or on each side of the bed. (Four electrical wires are connected to it).
The modular timer switch: it is used to trigger the light on one or more points of light for a defined period of time. It is particularly used in popular places like the stairwell of buildings.
All these types of switches can have a different interface, that is to say, a different ergonomics. For example, they can be toggled (the most common), lever (as in the old days), and push button, and touch, touch, rotary or even automatic. To be more easily identifiable a switch may have a witness or a halo light. Finally to adapt to all our desires the switch can become dimmer and so we can adjust the light intensity of the room.
The technique is good, but what about design?
The switch is an element
Indispensable to the whole house and if at the base it is not a mechanized
Designer lent themselves to the game in order to create and create pieces with a well-defined character. Whether you are looking for a discrete switch or otherwise conspicuous you will necessarily find the model that fits
